Where you stay shapes your whole holiday: how many hours you spend in the car, whether you can stroll in the evening, and whether the children have a quiet place to rest. Here is what we see with families every day.
Şişli, Nişantaşı and Harbiye
In the heart of the European side, close to shops and restaurants, and among the areas Gulf families like most. Good for families who enjoy shopping and evenings out, with relatively easy access to the Bosphorus and the old city.
Beşiktaş and Gayrettepe
Close to the Bosphorus and metro lines, with two-bedroom serviced apartments that have kitchens. A practical choice for larger families who need space and a kitchen for the children's meals.
The historic peninsula (Sultanahmet and Fatih)
Historic mosques and landmarks are within walking distance, and hotels usually include breakfast. The streets are narrower and busier, but it's ideal if you want to be near Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
Kağıthane
A newer area with spacious, quiet serviced apartments, well suited to longer stays and families who want more room at a reasonable price.
Our tips for getting around
Stay on one side of the city and avoid crossing the bridges at morning and evening rush hours
With small children, a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen is easier than two separate hotel rooms
Ask about a cot and a car seat before you arrive, not after
In PARELO packages we choose the area by package level and name the hotel in your offer once availability for your dates is confirmed.
